Lock Screen show with alerts, turn on.

How do I make the lock screen turn on when there are alerts, i.e. Text messages.  I drive a lot and this is an important feature as I have my phone on a holder on the dash/windscreen and can see when a message comes throug.  This does not happen on teh XZ1. Boy! ther are a few Windows Phone features I am missing.

some apps have a setting to turn the screen on when a notification is arriving - for example Pulse SMS, if you're willing to change your default SMS app.

Thanks, I found an App to do it.  As much as I like the Sony phone, and availability of Apps. I miss my Windows Phone where all these features where standard in the OS, i.e. double tap to turn on. I suppose there is an "App for that".  If only Microsoft had not destroyed their good phone system, by not advertising, supporting and getting in the hands of people.

Sadly even if it had that feature it will not work perfectly. I guess you are after glance feature. Android has ambient display but it does not work all the time and our beloved xz1 do not have ambient display feature
