Hi all
On an XZ running Android 8.0 Oreo.
I just got a new microSD card and want to transfer photos, videos, and music from internal storage to it.
I'm using the stock Android utility within Storage in Settings ("memory app") to do the transfer.
It's working - sort of - but it's being extremely "sensitive":
- If I go to do ANYTHING else on the phone - i.e. if the app is minimised (the settings page which shows the transfer in progress, that is) the app crashes.
- In some cases, if I even swipe down the notifications bar, the icon/notification representing/showing the transfer in progress will disappear (I assume this means its quitting)
- If I try and start the process again, the memory app can immediately crash upon clicking "Transfer data to SD card". Sometimes I can't get past this unless I restart the device.
- Photos and videos and music ARE being transferred correctly up until the point the app crashes
- Transfer of videos (9 GB total) seems to happen much faster (but would still crash) than photos (12 GB total)
Anyone else having the same issue? Anyone found a solution?

No solution for your problem.
When it comes to copying from internal memory to SD I suggest you to try Total Commander.

Thanks for the suggestion - I'll try that or another 3rd party app.
