No Bluetooth connection to my Renault R Link 2
I'm having the same problem with my Alfa Romeo blue&me. It seems my phone doesn't detect other devices with bluetooth. But the phone self can be detected.. Let me know if you have a solution.
Hello,
Seems like I am not the only one with Bluetooth issues. For me it works as it should with the Sony SRS-XB30 bluetooth speaker but it is impossible to make it work with any of my two cars audio system, BMW and Audi. In the cars the contact sharing works, the problem seem to be with the audio streaming profile. Believe me I have tried resets and everything, my previous phones worked without issues in the cars. So Sony please fix it, I don´t want to use my bluetooth speaker as a replacement for my car audio system...
Unfortunately it's on Renault so I will have to wait for an update 😕
My Honda Civic saw the phone but the phone saw nothing. I was still able to pair them OK.
Sony...are you listening???
Not only do we have strange wifi issues but we also are having bluetooth problems.
This all needs to be fixed ASAP!
Will the people who run this site please pass this information on to those who need to see it?
Hi @gbglukas, I'm sorry to hear this.
From what I understood from your post you are unable to select the media audio profile in Settings > Bluetooth > settings for connected device when you are connected to the car. Could you please confirm if this is correct?
Hi @StanleyKubrick, are required to go through this procedure every time to connect the devices, or was it only for the first pairing? Some Bluetooth devices requires you to manually make them visible to others so it is possible that this could've been th reason your phone couldn't see your car's device.
Actually when you pair the phone with the car, all the profiles are found. But then when you try to stream audio, the media audio profile is lost. It can occasionally come back but then dissapear again.
Doesn't play nicely with the Sony Smartwatch 3 either, I managed to pair them but they won't stay connected.
@gbglukas Thank you for getting back to me! Do you think you could capture this in a bug report and sent it to me? I could then forward it for investigation.
To do this:
1. Go to Settings > About phone > Build number, tap 7 times on the build number.
2. Go back and select Developer options then set Logger buffer size and change it to "4 MB".
3. Restart your phone, then replicate this.
4. Go back to Settings > Developer options, select "Take bug report" followed by "Interactive bug report".
When the report is ready you will receive a notification. Tap the notification to share it. I suggest you upload it to Google Drive and then choose to share a public link to the upload and include the link in the PM.
@BHBloke I'm sorry to hear this. Will the devices also reconnect automatically when this happens or do you have to attempt to connect them manually?
Hi Sony. I have an Xperia x5. The Bluetooth would not pair with my Ford focus car systematic all. I have now bought a fiat 500 whuch us only 3 years old. Although this pairs I cannot alter manual settings to allow the use of the in car system. The check box will simply not stay checked. This cannot be an issue Sony are prepared to accept? Please can you reply to this as I am very concerned Sony feel this is on some way acceptable.
