No Bluetooth connection to my Renault R Link 2
Hi Sony, please fix this. It's the XZ Premium, not the car. The Bluetooth takes forever to connect to several devices and frequently disconnects mid song or mid call. This has happened in three cars of different makes. I borrowed an iPhone 6 for two months and no problems at all.
I've got a house full of Sony stuff, had a Z, Z3 and now the XZ Premium and the Z3 never did this.
Fix it or I'm returning it. It's hazardous when driving as someone will not be watching the road, while their phone craps out.
Cheers
They don´t seem to care that much. I was trying to fix it in June when i got the phone, on request I sent them bluetooth log data and so on. But never heard anything back. Then I started thinking it would be fixed in the oreo update, but no. So now I am using my old Nexus 4 in my 2017 BMW to use spotify 😞
This is really painful. Not only the BT problems, which I also have with my XZ Premium + Oreo (with Nougat I did not have any BT problems), but also that Sony does not say anything that are they looking for a solution or not.
I created a service request in December 2017 about these issues I have currently and the autoreply said that they will answer within 48 hours. Now it is 10th of January 2018 and still no answer.
Sony, please, this is not the way you should treat your customers. Regardless that the phone is otherwise a great device, with this "quality" service you will loose potential customers. It's devastating to see how my daughter's 109€ Honor P7 Lite works better than my 790€ XZ Premium.
Hi @Hyperconfidence and @gbglukas and @JarNuu
The link makes you land on the right page, one the wrong spot
I copied this for you from a post by @bigfito , quoted by @Quester
Try this workaround:
I've seen that workaround, but it does not help. I've tried all options I possibly could find. I just hope there would be a chance to get rid of the Oreo and get Nougat back. Bluetooth is not the only serious problem, WiFi makes me even more angry. Every time when phone goes out of the WiFi range and back, it connects to the WiFi but cannot connect to the Internet. The only way out seems to be to restart the device. But while at work or at home this happens like 20-30 times per day, you really don't want to restart your phone each time.
There is a different discussion about WiFi issues, but I haven't seen anything that helps me.
