I'm not getting notifications of fb messenger messages. I've checked all the notification settings on both system and in the app. Volumes are up and everything else seems OK.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled with a reboot in between. No change.
Everything is upto date. No updates to do and lost as to how to fix it
Help?!
Sorry, what do you mean "swipe to close the app" and get all message notifications?
Is there a way to report oreo issues to devs?

When I press the home button and let messenger open open in the backround, I don't get notifications and I have to open the app again to see if someone sent me something. When I swipe the app to close it and not let it open in the backround, then I get my notifications all the time.
I am talking about using the button that is like a square in the bottom right that gets you to the apps running in the backround. If I "swipe" to close the messenger app then I'll get the next notifications. If I just press the middle cycle button, then I won't get the next notifications and I would have to open the app to see if someone sent me something.
It is getting frustrating. I don't get notifications on messenger no matter what right now.

Ahh sorry. The recent apps list. I know I what you mean now
I have the same problem and I have tried everything! Starting to go mad.
Have you guys find something that helped yet?
I have the same issue - no notifications at all. Temporary solution was to install Messenger Lite which works fine.
I have done that, but haven't got any reply at all :(.
Going to install messenger lite for the time being to see if that works.
