Phone won't start after update

Yesterday I installed a Sony update on my ZX Premium. Now the phone will not start. It turns on, shows the Android logo and then the animated Xperia logo loops over and over forever. I have tried multiple times to start it with power and up volume buttons but it still won't start.

Any suggestions? Has anyone else encountered this problem?

That's very unfortunate to happen.. no issues with updates anywer. Is there any settings changed in developer option settings before?

Anyway is the phone charging when connected to charger?

U have to force shut down the phone by pressing power button and volume up at the same time until three vibrations so the phone is off. Then connect to charger and charge the phone...to full. Try powering on the phone to see the problem fixed or not. If still the same problem then force shut down again and follow the Xperia companion factory reset repair .

Did your phone had enough charge when you updated it? The problem might have occured either by low battery charge or some settings in the developer section changed or a 3rd party app interfered with the update. So a full reset can solve the issue.

Hopefully soon your phone will b back to normal with the latest available firmware.

Thanks. I tried the reset with power and volume up until 3 pulses but that did nothing.

I have also tried the factory reset in Xperia companion (two versions 2.4 and 2.5.2) but after the app says the phone is reset, I unplug it from the Mac, turn it on and get the same issue of the endless Experia animated logo.

The software version it says it's resetting to is 47.2.A.10.62-RC2 and I did the facory reset with no SIM or SD card installed.

Is there anything else I can try?

Hmm... Wonder what happened to your phone... Guess all left is to take the phone to Sony service centre for inspection to check whether there is any damage like liquid inside or board complaint. Even if it's ip68 water proof or water resistant after more than a year no guarantee its fail safe..even the sweat from the pocket can sometimes go inside thru massive speaker and mic opening... So we got to be careful. Anyway let's see what service centre says..sometimes it might be a minor issue inside .
