Hey everyone! The purpose of this thread is to ask anything that you wish to know about the XZ Premium; other users owning an Xperia XZ Premium and forum staff will do our best to reply!  

As an example, prior to purchasing an Xperia XZ Premium you may be wondering if someone has tried out a specific third party app or feature on their XZ Premium, and could tell you a bit more about the compatibility and functionality as the app may important in your daily life. Staff and other users can come in and reply and let you know how it works!

The goal of this thread is to help each other out as a community. We will try to moderate this thread so that any new threads with a fitting question will instead be moved here, while we of course keep support threads the way they are now.

if you go to Settings > Lock screen & security, what option is "Screen lock" set to? also, what does smaller text below "Fingerprint Manager" say?

Screen Lock set to : PIN

Fingerprint Manager: Fingerprint unlocking activated

When you lock the phone by clicking the power button. Then tap the screen , the screen states " Swipe left or up to unlock " and when you do so , it unlocks strait away without asking any PIN code 

Note : Avoiding to use fingerprint for now

thanks for checking, that's really weird. I'd double check if there's any Smart Lock feature enabled, then try and see if the same thing happens in safe mode. also, do you have any Bluetooth accessory connected, like a smartwatch or wireless headphones for example?

I've checked every given option in the list of Smart Lock page, and the smartwatch was added as a trusted device. Once removed as a trusted device, the screen locked successfully.

no problem, I'm glad I could help!

by the way, the trusted device is a matter of convenience. the phone assumes that if the smartwatch is connected, then the device is being used by you. as soon as the device disconnects (for example if you leave the phone on a table and move away while wearing the smartwatch), it will require PIN or fingerprint to unlock again.

Smart Lock is actually a stock Google thing and available in all modern smartphones running Android, but that doesn't make XZP any less great

I have a high-res audio USB DAC, the Sound Blaster E5. This DAC has dedicated apps (Sound Blaster Central and Sound Blaster Services) for use on android devices, however, according to Creative's doccumentation, only 16-bit/44.1khz usb output is supported on android. As far as I'm aware, the XZ Premium supports 24-bit/192khz USB DACs natively, in order to take advantage of this should I use it without its official apps?

you should probably contact Sound Blaster and ask how their apps would handle that.

Hello everyone I am new in this community.

1-My question is about attaching contacts on sms. 

There are options to send locations, to send photos and other stuff. But no option to send contacts. Come on, who sends photos on sms application? 

I used to have Xperia Z2 and there was an option about sending contacts by plain text, and believe me that was extremely useful for me who uses phone phone frequently in work hours. Now it is 2k17 and they removed these kind of useful things in a new phone. 

2- PLEASE SOMEONE HEAR ME AND BRING BACK  'double tap to wake the screen' OPTION AGAIN ASAP! 

3- On Xperia Z2 when you end the call some options are appearing on the screen as ' send message', 'call again', 'see contact' 

Now these options are also removed I don't understand why. It was very useful to too.
