Staff and other users can come in and reply and let you know how it works!

I fowarded my question to hear with hope that someone can answer me, many thanks!

I just got a brand new XZ premium phone from ebay and not sure that I have a problem with screen rotation or its normal for everyone using xz premium here. So when I use the auto-rotate mode the phone works find but when
I rotate my phone to landscape mode and lock the rotation, the screen automatically backs to portrait mode and won't allow me to watch the contents in landscape mode by anyhow. In other word, I can't keep the screen in landscape mode when using my phone in different dimesion while locking the screen rotation. Since my previous phone XZ allows me to lock the screen in landscape mode, so that makes me even more confused.

... which effectively means physically there is FM Radio and still we can have it and it is only sony who decided to disable it no matter people wants it, how rude of them is this? Sony must enable it as it was in the past or still is for low end Xperias...

@harutsuki

Try to perform a software repair using Xperia Companion. This will do a clean installation of the latest firmware and will also wipe your internal memory, so that means you'll lose and stored data on the internal memory and all apps will have to be re-installed.

Follow the steps given in blue links, and keep us updated.

Hi all,

I want to ask about screen blinking. My xzp screen sometimes blinks although i turn off adaptive brighness, so it makes me uncomfortable. I don't know how to solve that. Can anyone give me advice in this case?

@Abpzois the screen brightness is actually changing or is it just contrast/saturation of colours fluctuating? because it could be that what you're seeing is a feature called Qualcomm Assertive Display https://www.qualcomm.com/news/onq/2015/02/20/assertive-display-power-efficient-technology-thats-easy...

The brightness change to high and low and high and low, like we move the brightness slider. But if you can advice me how to disable Assertive Brightness, i will try to disable and see if this problem happen again.

Thank you very much

@Abpzoit's not possible do disable Assertive Display. but since you're saying it's actually the screen brightness that's changing, then I don't think that's it. you could check if the same thing happens in safe mode.
