Blackberry q10 to Xperia z3 compact

Hi, could somebody tell me how do I transfer all my data from my blackberry q10 to my new Xperia z3 compact?

Try Xperia transfer or Xperia desktop transfer from the play store but I'm not sure of compatibility

Dear Oscarlu,

I have the same problem and I find the solutions.

First I want to tell you that is not compatibility between Blackberry OS10 and Sony transfer software so you have to do piece by piece (I had search for a week on all possible forums)

- 1st step - Contacts transfer - 2 options: (1) go to your service provider and ask to transfer your contacts to your Sony Xperia or (2) used PhoneCopy app to back-up the contacts from Blackberry and then restore from server to your Sony Xperia (this is that i had use) (if you have more that 500 contacts you have to pay a fe of 29$ / year in one week after the back-up is done);

- 2nd step for SMS/MMS - is a different app - SMS Backup by Epic Windmill - install the app on your Blackberry, save your SMS as an XML file and send the file via mail to your  Sony. Instal any SMS back-up app on your Sony from Google play and run restore using the XML file sent from Blackberry mail.

- 3rd steps: Pictures / Movies / Audio sent to your Sony form Blackberry via mail.

I know is not the most comfortable way to transfer the information from BB but it is the only method who work at this time.

The following procedure is done by using phone transfer software:

• backup your Blackberry data
  First, run BlackBerry® Desktop Software and make your BlackBerry backup file on computer.
  Tips: Click "Back up now" after your BlackBerry is detected.
• Connect your Android smartphone to the computer
  Run Phone Transfer after your Android device is recognized by your computer. Then click "Restore From Backups" to move on.
• Copy the data you need
  Select Blackberry backup file on the left and you will see your Blackberry data in the middle of the window. Tick the data you want to copy and click "Start Copy".

Phone Transfer can move data not only from BB to Android, but also from iOS to Android, Symbian to Android and the other way around. Check more details in Blackberry Q10 Manual.
