I have put what i thought was an easy sim lock on a new Z3 compact . However its not the number i thought it was and i just cannot get into the phone . I have a new sim card coming tomorrow and its going to be useless if i cannot get into the phone , can anyone help me out ??.

Hi @tednazz, I'm sorry to hear this.

Could you please confirm that this code is the SIM card's PIN by starting your phone without the SIM card inserted?

If you are able to enter your device without the SIM card inserted replacing it will help. You can also try entering an incorrect PIN three times after which you will be asked to enter the PUK code instead.

If the phone still asks you to enter the code even without the SIM card inserted then this is a screen lock code. If you are unable to enter the correct screen lock code then I'm afraid the phone needs to be factory reset. This can be done through a software repair using Xperia Companion.
