Hi,
I've been using a Z1 for a month now, and just noticed, that when trying to install an app from the web play store (via PC),
the Z1 is not listed at all as one of my devices.
I have no problem downloading apps from the play store app on my phone.
I've tried:
1. removing and reconnecting my google acount
2. clear data of the Play Store app and Play Services
3. restarting the device.
4. downloading apps (even purchased one)
any suggestions ? is it a device issue, Sony issue ? Google Issue ?
p.s - the phone was bought in Thialand, and I think the buld is for HK
Solved! Go to Solution.
I don't know if it took some time, or that the following steps worked:
1. Clear cache and data from Google Play Store app
2. Clear cache and data from Download Manager app
3. Clear cache and data from Google Play Framework
4. Restart the device and download a Google app (Google+ in my case).
Whatever helped, now everything is ok.:smileysmileythumbsup:
are you certain that your phone is not listed? its not going to be shown as Xperia Z1, also not all apps are compatible
I'm going to the Play Store Settings, where I can choose which phones I have will be visible.
I have a list, consisting of my Tablet, my previous HTC phone and a third phone I had for just a week, but connected to the playstore with it: Asus Tf300, HTC Sensation Xe and Thl W8S...
meaning, there's a list of all my previous devices, except the Xperia Z1:
That's quite odd, you should contact Google directly.
done that.
Their tech support isn't so great, they are basically following a troubleshooting guide for common problems.
whe the guy couldn't solve the problem, he said he will ask an expert and return an answer by email.
He did. asked me to login with the same google acount to to web store, and the device.
I only have one acount for about 8 years now...
so no help there.
I'll try a factory reset, see if that helps
