Only after suggestion from my friend i switched to Sony 2 years ago and I Bought Sony Xperia Z3, within a couple of months after purchase I got issue with blank display after a update from Sony, I had to send it back to repair they said 3-5 working days but it took 10 days, so first time got it repaired under warranty but within next 3 months got issue with loud speaker and had to send it again another 10 days, 3 months
after 2nd repair phone just heats up and eventually glue that sticks screen to phone may have gone and screen lifts off from the Phone from one of the corner so Had to send it back this was last year during Christmas so obvious that it took 15 days after so much of chasing, after 6 Months again got issue with screen lifting off so requested them for device replacement so luckily they did replaced after lot of arguments requests... happy that i got replacement with new warranty as displayed on Sony Portal against my IMEI.... after another 6 months which is now I got the same issue again that screen lifts off from the phone so i thought they will repair as usual and was prepared for 10-15 days of no phone but as a surprise they gave me a quotation for £133.35 to replace display but display was working fine, I started chatting with customer service who initially accused me that I did deliberate damage, even before i mentioned that phone is still in warranty but I somehow made my point that phone is still in warranty and it is not deliberate damage agent said it does not matter whether i got warranty or not this repair is not covered by warranty, until this point my Sony Portal was showing warranty date expiring on 18th July 2018 but within few seconds warranty has been removed from the device, when questioned they said according to terms and conditions device warranty is valid only for 2 years and is limited to original phone, now they changed all argument from deliberate damage to there is no warranty on device, now I am stuck with no phone for next week or so and they want to change handling fee
it cannot blame me as a user as I am not a heavy mobile user, and it has not happened once and it is not just me who got this issue, just googled and got multiple threads from different countries with exactly same issue, Overall poor device build quality, Poor customer service from Sony.
I would not suggest you to buy cheap quality phones after 2 years of my experience. Good bye Sony Mobile.
