Persistent badge in facebook

I have a persistent badge over facebook icon. I entered in the application and all the messages are read. I cleaned the cache, I stopped the facebook service, I cleaned the data application and I rebooted the phone. But the badge is still there.


Could someone help me, please? It's very annoying to have this number when there is nothing to do.

Finally, I reinstalled FB and everything's ok now. It's not the best solution but it works.

I have a problem when I update the Facebook application that the number of the notification is no longer displayed on the Facebook icon. So I have to open the application every single time to check whether i have notifications or not.
When I get another update for Facebook app it reworks correctly again till I get a newer update to become not working then.. And so on.

I tried all possible solutions, uninstalling the app, clearing the data and the cache .. etc. But no change.

This sounds like a Facebook app issue so you'd have to contact the developers about this

Just got the same problem...

First I had a 3 notifications stuck on the app icon, reinstalled Facebook and it vanished. Now I don't get the notification badge at all.

i have xperia Z2 whatsapp and messeges and phone icon badge notification work but dont work on facebook and messenger apps ... it worked first time i got the mobile but it was stuck with one notification so i uninstalled it and when i installed it back it stopped working
also id like to know how much minutes after i lock screen it takes to the stamina mode to work thanks in advance

It has been posted before and it seems that it's up to the app developers and not Sony to add this feature.

Hello,

The notification badge (the badge with the number of notifications that should be displayed on the icon) is not displayed for my Facebook application.

I tried all the possible solutions starting from uninstalling the app till repairing the phone with Sony companion repair.

Please advise what can I do and also advise on the name of the service that's responsible for this badge in Android.

It's Facebook's app problem, until they solve this we need to downgrade.

Tested several versions, i've M4 Aqua with Android 5.0.2. 

Downgraded to Facebook app version 39.0.0.0.88 and notification badge counter is working again.
