Pop up notifications (mobile data and system update)

Hi.
I am having some issues with the pop up notifications. I am on a monthly prepaid plan and sometimes my mobile data is not "free " which means I have costs when I turn it on. Before I had a pop up notification each time I would try to turn on mobile data, warning that it could have costs. For some people this is quite annoying but for me it was perfect because it would be a protection for those times that I would turn on mobile data by mistake. Now this pop up does not show anymore. I think I may have clicked the "don't show this again "option. Does anyone know how to get it back?
The other thing is how to get rid permanently of the system update notification. I don't want 5.1.1 as the battery life is ridiculous bit this notification is always coming once in a while. I clear the cache of the "software update " app and it goes of but always comes back after reboot.
Thanks

Hi,

I think you can get back the pop up notification for mobile data if you go to Settings > Apps > The tab "All" > Phone > Clear data. Note that you might have two of the phone app so clear data for both of them and then restart the phone.

Regarding the notification for software update, I do not think that you can remove it completely unfortunately. It will always appear after reboot.

I am sorry but we have had this discussion several times in the past but we didn't figure out how to bring that back.

@Johan@Rickard Do you have any news on this?

For what we know up to date, a system repair will bring it back.

You could try settings-apps-all,scroll to settings app and clear data. This will revert changes in your settings app though.

Hi. Thank you for your reply.
Cleaning the phone app data worked to get the mobile data notification back.
As for the update notification I think I will have to stick to cleaning the cache and force closing the system update app after rebooting.
Thank you

@Hampus wanted to suggest the same but never thought it would help as I have told others in the past but none said that really worked. Great, thanks for the update.

@SZS Glad to hear, you're welcome!

@alexdon It seems to work fine for the Z3-series (the only phones I've tried it on yet) with both Android 5.0 and 5.1. But you need to restart the phone afterwards, otherwise the notification won't show up.
