SWR10 WRIST BAND compatibility with Xperia Z

Hi

I have just bought a Smartband and am waiting for it to be delivered.

However whilst waiting for delivery I have discovered from my research that it may only be compatible with Android 4.4.

My Z is running Andriod 4.3. Does this mean that:

1. the Smartband won't work until I get the 4.4 upgrade later this quarter, or

2. will I just have limited functionality (i.e. the compatible Lifelog app won't work but the other Bluetooth-based functions ( e.g. when a call or message comes in, the SmartBand gently vibrates on your wrist) will)?

Can anyone advise?

It's kinda sad to hear Xperia Z does not work with the smartband. It was a "flagship" model when it first appeared just a year ago……

it seems that the smartband will work with other android versions, it make sense that since its a new product they just focus on their latest flagship, but don't dismay

It should work as it requires 4.4.But contact xperia care to be sure:
