Hello,
I just got Xperia Z3 SO-01G Docomo. This is already got sim lock de-activation code. So, I can use it on Lte and 3G network (Dtac Trinet) in Thailand. Everything went well untill I have activate WiFi Hotspot feature. All devices (Sony Vaio PC and iPad mini 3) have connected to Z3 without a problem. But no internet activity was working. All devices could not browse internet, facebook not connect, etc.
So, I have had a seroius look at all aspects of phone networking. I found out that the APN setting which could be visible at all time when you look at, whether you are using cellular networking or not. However, when WiFi Hotspot activated, then the APN setting was blank and all setting was disable. All access points were vanish. Then de-activate WiFi Hotspot, all setting in APN page were back as normal.
I concluded that this is the root course of this problem. But do not know how to correct it!!!
Anyone here has found a solution about this, please help me out.
Thank in advance,
P.S. Adroid 4.4.4

This is the correct way to solve issue with block WiFi Hotspot. This might be issue with some Z3 with some certain carrier such as NTT Docomo, AU, Softbank or even Three Mobile in UK. This is no need to root your Z3.
It may be a bit to hard for people generation of "point and click", since it involve with command line in Windows.
Let's start:
1. You need a PC with Win 7, 8, or 8.1 (not so sure about Xp). Also, have a Java runtime installed (www.java.com)
2. Goto https://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html#top , then download Adroid SDK Tool Kit (no need full Adroid Studio Suite). Install it to your PC, if you don't have it, yet.
3. Pay attention to where it install to. Normally it will goto C:\\Program Files (x86)\Android\Android-SDK\Platform-tools
4. Then have a look in its folder for adb.exe file. If it is not present, you have install it from Android SDK Manager as this figure. Tick on Android SDK Platform-tools, then click checked on Updates/New and Installed then click install .?.. package.
5. Goto your Z3 if you still not enable developer option on your phone. Goto >> Setting > About Phone > Tab on Built Number 7 times. Then goto developer option check on USB Debugging.
6. Connect you phone to PC using USB cable wait until your PC show Z3 connected.
7. Open command prompt on your PC. Then change directory to C:\\Program Files (x86)\Android\Android-SDK\Platform-tools.
8. In command prompt window type" abd shell "and enter. Then when shell open, type settings" put global tether_dun_required 0 " then enter.
9. Wait until command shell finished.
10. Disconnect you Z3 then turn it off and back on again.
11. Now you phone should perform a normal WiFi Hotspot activity.

I'm glad I was able to help, perhaps you can check a third party app to tether your connection.
I am glad to join this comunity.
I have to admit that since my day with Xperia S. Sonymobile has improved a lot. Especially, firmware and support community like this. Hopefully, it would have been continuing to be better.
