Xperia Transfer issue

Hi folks, new user here

I'm now on my 2nd Z1 after an issue with my original. I had no problems using the Xperia transfer on my original handset, and moved all of my content from my old iPhone.

My replacement Z1 has arrived, I've done exactly the same as before, but this time the transfer wizard won't copy my contacts, call logs, messages, calendars etc as it says my Z1 memory is encrypted (exact text below).

I've tried a factory reset on both the originally installed 4.2.2 and the updated 4.3 (as suggested by the more info link in the picture), but neither fixes the issue. I've also tried going in to the encryption part of the security menu, but here whatever is meant to load hangs, and I get a black screen before the phone suggests I close the programme.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to either amend the encryption status of the memory, or some other way of moving all of the info from my iPhone backup? (I have managed to transfer contacts separately, but it would be nice to keep all of my texts etc.)

Thank you in advance

Unfortunately it appears that you have enabled the encryption option in the security section of the handset which will prevent this from working correctly. At this stage I am not aware of a way to decrypt the phone so that you could copy the data this way sorry.

If the phone was encrypted, can't he decrypt the phone first, if he was the one who encrypted it?
