Good day!
I'm Having a problem connecting my Phone (Xpeia Z1) to my PC through PC Companion (Wifi Connection). After some steps my phone gets stuck and wont continue on the last step. i even Left it overnight to give time to connect but i woke up and still its connecting. i have successfully paired up my Device on my Office PC. But i can't get it to work on my Home PC/Laptop. i Don't know if I'm having some problems on my PC or my Wifi Router. So i need some help from you guys, what do i need to check to get this thing to Work. If any on you have the Same Problem please Post it Here, or if you have any solutions please give me some advice.
I Was Stuck on this part of the Setup:
So There, as you can see, i have successfully Paired my Phone and my PC (ANDREWSTAR). But on this Part (Connecting) i got stucked. And it never Finished Connecting to my PC.
The Other Device Name (AKD-RSF) is my Office PC which i Connected my phone without Problems.
So there you go guys, i could connect it Through USB Connection but i don't want to always open the Micro USB Cover of my Phone because it might get loose and eventually the Water Proofing capability of the phone gets useless. That's why i want to get this thing working up. The other Workaround i find here is to use a 3rd Party app to Transfer Files wirelessly. But i don't want that. Because this thing should work and i think this is a safer method of transferring my files.
Thank You Guys!

My wifi connection has already worked once or twice, but it always end up broken.
Now, when I try to pair, the connection is unsuccesful, but the device sometimes show a message stating that the device is already paired and that I should delete the pairing to continue. The pairing on the device is deleted for a long time now (there is no other pairing on the device). I reinstalled PC Companion twice. I can't find where to delete the pairing on PC Companion.
I have the same problem during the pairing process it hangs and after a while it shows a "unable to connect[...]" error. Then I go back to the phone and it shows a warning message stating that the phone is already paired and such pairing should be deleted in order to pair it with another device. After this I went to the USB conectivity settings and to my surprise the list of paired devices is empty. This is definitely a software bug. I am currently on firmware version 14.3.A.0.757. Lets hope the updated upcoming 14.4.* firmware shorts out this problem.
what do you mean by device wifi option? you mean i should select scan on my Z1 wifi setting??
This work on my XPERIA Z1,
hope for you.

My Xperia has KitKat and still has the same problem as everyone else. Not resolved.
I had the same problem. It was a broken driver - reinstalled the Z1C driver and the phone connected like a charm.
On a side note, I also couldn't pair the device with a comp again after a factory reset. This is solved by removing a file named after your computer in the phone's internal storage root folder.
Hope this saves someone a few hours of frustration...
same problem too, xperia z3 compact, acer aspire 4750g laptop with windows 8.1 64bit, both same wifi, keep connecting and fail connect.
