Hi,
My Xperia Z3+ battery seems to have failed, it still works but sometimes at 70, 60, 50, 40, 30 % I get a sudden power off and a picture of a red battery. If I start it back up it works for 20 seconds then powers off again. Its unacceptable.
I've tried taking out the SIM, then the SDCARD but they don't seem to have anything to do with it. I've tried going to PC companion and doing a software repair but it hasn't fixed it.
I think I need to replace the battery but since I bought the phonoe on the 13th of June 2015 in another country the only option for me is to replace the battery myself. I need to know is the Internal battery Li-ion 2930mAh like seen here link ? Can I use a Li-Ion 3100 mAh battery like in the Xperia Z3 ?

Don't know if that battery is an appropriate fit for the Z3+, there are several things to have in account besides capacity, like dimensions, connection.
It is better that you buy the specific battery for the Z3+, there are some on Ebay or other sites.
By the way you can check if your battery needs replacement in the service menu under tests (*#*#7378423#*#*).

Thanks for the reply. I just looked in the battery health test and it said :
Actual Batt(uAh): 2021000
Batt Health Status:
Bad, please replace it!
At least I definitely know it needs a new battery.
I am going to go to a repair shop!
I'm going to stick with the battery that came with the phone -Li-Ion 2930 mAh battery. I just need to double check its the correct battery.
How can i check if my battery needs replacement?
Thanks Nuno!
But i only found at "service tests": keyboard/touch screen/display/led/speaker/earphone/microphone/secondary microphone/flash led/antenna/bluetooth/wlan/nfc/gps/compass/accelerometer/gyroscope/ambient light/proximity switch/hall element/pressure sensor/real time clock/storage/security/fm radio/verify certificates/tv-out test
Nothinb about battery... i'm at the right place? But i think that is the same problem because is exactly the same thing that happens with my phone...
In that menu after "Security" you should have "Battery Health Test", press on it.
