Need help!

I've been running the fiio BTR5 bluetooth dac/amp with no issues until yesterday, the volume seems to have halved? The volume is not halved via the headphone jack, again only via bluetooth.

Looked around the web for a solution, tried the recommended things in developer options plus others and checked that the settings are good on the phone, reset phone, re-paired bluetooth, reset dac. BTR5 works fine with other devices but not the phone.

I'm thinking about all that's left is just biting the bullet and trying a full factory reset on the phone, unless anyone has any ideas on how to resolve this.

It's running android 7.1.1 if that also helps anyone.

the device has a built in "safety sound level" this is usually triggered when you play at high volumes for extended times.. i cannot however remember where the option is, it just pops up,

have you tried adjusting and checking your Audio settings? and accessory settings, Wireless playback quality..
