BDP-S570 Problem with 3D

Player has been working fine for 3D films but now shows message saying the 'player or display is not 3D compatible'. I have not changed or moved anything (both payer and TV are Sony and the 3D has been working fine until this weekend). 3D from Sky box is still working so I guess the problem is not with the display side of things. I have pulled out and re-fillted all connections and made sure that latest software is installed but still no joy. Has anyone else had this problem and found an easy fix or is it a case for repair (grrrr only just out of guarantee!).

Are you running the latest firmware on the device? There have been a bunch of updates for his device, so it's well worth checking as some of these were definitely related to 3D.
