Sony SA-Z9R Positioning

Hi, purchased these rear speakers to complement my HT-ZF9 sound bar. I’ve had them positioned on shelves behind me which works well however I remembered I had a couple of speaker stands in loft that I hoped I could use. However, they will only fit if I turn the speaker on it’s side and not sit upright. Would anyone know if this would impact on the sound quality which is currently outstanding. It’s just I’d like to sit them on a stand purely for athetics. And while I’m on I’d be still interested in purchasing two bespoke stands if someone could recommend? There seem to plenty on Amazon but I’m concerned the wire may not be hidden. Cheers all and thanks in advance for any tips.

Hi caravanclubber,

The Manual instructs to set the speakers up vertically. I believe this means that laying them horizontally may effect the sound field: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/res/manuals/4727/03c384085ee7cc96277e109e03401405/4727591...

Thanks,
