STR-DH510 AV Receiver connection to Digital Ariel

I have the AV Receiver above, through which I am trying to route the signal from a digital attic arial to the TV. My main connection is an analogue piped signal directly to the TV and I would like to be able to connect the attic arial to the AV Receiver and switch from analogue to digital from the TV rather than switching the pipe and attic arial coaxials at the back of the TV.

I have connected the attic arial to the coaxial in jack on the AV but cannot get it to work. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

what exactly are to trying to achieve here?, are you wanting to use the freeview aerial through the amp to the tv?, cannot be done, the freeview aerial is for the tv, however if you want to use a digital FM aerial to the amp for the tuner then yes you can but this is normally just a T shaped antennae pinned to the wall and not the one in the attic.
