looking for help. i have purchased a LG dvd player and plugged in the hdmi cable but i cannot see the screen, it does not bring up an option for hdmi from the source button. All av channels do not show the dvd.
Turn TV off, and plug HDMI cable into the other HDMI port on the TV, then turn TV back on again. Test DVD player
Try testing another HDMI cable (if you have one spare), as it may be a dodgy cable.
Are you able to test the DVD player out on another TV that has a HDMI input (a second TV or a friends / neighbours etc). If that fails, you might have a faulty DVD player
At the back of the DVD player, it might have other inputs outputs like composite (Red/White/Yellow), try connecting it to the TV using composite cables and test out.
