as your guarantee is about to expire, my guess is you have been using your TV for 1 or 2 years now. and i think your TV is a good product if it's been trouble free all this time. so, why spend more in guarantee.

Hi,

check with your dealer to see about how you can go about purchasing an extended guarantee, i personally would get one, just because a sony product is expensive it does not make it any more reliable, it is always a good idea with any consumer electronic goods to buy warranties because at the end of the day if it does develope a fault and you dont have the warranty its going to be a very expensive repair, just having the warranty gives you peace of mind you have it just in case.

Hi Ronn_H

welcome to the Sony User Community forum..:smileyhappy:

In addition to the above it may be cheaper to get a stand alone policy from a specialist provider, just check that the warranty cover fulfills your needs..:smileywink:
