Sony Bravia KDL-48W585B cannot connect to Netflix error nw-2-5

I have had netflix set up on my Sony Bravia for over a year now, over the last 6 months when ever I pressed play on a program after around 3 seconds it would throw me out of Netflix and back to normal TV. I would have to log in and out of Netflix everytime to resolve.

 

After reading online, it suggested a factory reset of my TV to completely resolve the issue. I have done so but now I cannot log into Netflix at all, I just receive an unable to connect nw-2-5 error.

 

I have tried:

1. Factory Reset of TV

2. Completely turned of the TV for over a minute

3. Turned Internet off to reset again over a mintue

4. Turned them both off at the same time

5. Checked DNS settings including parental blocks on internet (no blocks and parental control is off)

6. Uninstalled the app and reinstalled.

 

I have no idea what else to try to get it to work, does anyone have any ideas or had a similar problem before?

Do other apps such as iPlayer or YouTube work ok?

 

A suggestion is to set a static IP address on the TV and then use a different DNS server (i.e. 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4).
