a197vp banias or dothan processor

hi.

can someone please clarify this.

the spec sheet for the comp says it is a pentium - m 735 1.7GHZ.

i've read in a number of places that the "735" indicates that it is a dothan processor. The spec sheet also lists L2 cache of 2MB which is again something that i understand a dothan to have. however there is something on the computer that confuses me. On the c: of the computer in the original drivers folder there is a sub folder headed "Banias" . It has me a little confused, so can someone please clarify which processor my computer has.

hi.

i found a program on the internet called CPU-Z, it tells you all you need to know about the processor and memory installed on the computer. I'm happy to say that the Processor in the A197VP is indeed a Dothan.
