AR51SU - WinDVD BD for Vaio wont update

VAIO Update says there is an update for WinDVD BD for Vaio, update 8.0.8.416. When I run automatic update I get an error massage telling me to run setup manually. After running the setup I get an error telling me that WinDVD BD cannot be updated "This upgrade patch can't apply to your version of WinDVD. Setup will now abort...".

I can't seem to get past this, can anyone help me please? :smileygrin:

What is the version of WinDVD BD already installed on your Vaio?

The first thing to check is if 8.0.8.416 has already been installed somehow.

Strange, it may have already been installed. Wonder why it is showing as an update. My Vaio is very new to the market as I understand, could it of come with it from the factory?

How do I stop it from showing as an update?

Just recently purchased a AR41S and had the same error message when trying to update WinDVD BD for Vaio
My model is older than AR51S so is this an ongoing problem with this update ?
Also there does not seem to be any indication of what version we have on our machines
