Hi, My Vaio RS322 has developed an interesting problem,
In Sonic Stage the computer used to recognise a CD for recording when it was inserted, well not any more it doesn't!!:smileycry:
I now have to click over onto the other CD drive then back to the usual one before it will realise there is a cd in the drive.
I have looked through all the settings in SS even upgraded to 2.1 also tried new drivers for the Pioneer ROM drive. All to no avail.
I have ripped over 300 CD's, have I broken it???
or is there a solution??
Many thanks
C
You haven't broken it from what I can understand, I think this is an SS problem.
Have a look for auto-detection settings in SS.
Ive had a look at all settings, still no joy.
Even Windows Media Player doesn't spring to life when I use the ROM drive, if I use the writer drive all programmes know the CD is there.
Tried to email Pioneer but didn't get any response!!
Any more ideas?
Thanks
C
Chris,
Have you right clicked the drive in my computer and looked at the autorun settings?
Changed setting to open SS and record cd, still wont recognise.:smileysad:
*curses loudly at SS*
Damn Sony
Do you have Creative AutoPlay by any chance running?
There is no other audio software on my pc other than SS 2.1 and SS Mastering Studio, I did try Audio Cleaning Lab but the PC kept rebooting itself every couple of hours. as soon as i uninstalled it the problem went away.
I guess Ill have to keep as im doing at the with SS as Im doing at the mo.
Thanks for the help though!

I bet the mastering studio is interfering!
