Can I connect my Vaio S5 to a TV screen?

My Vaio S5 has no S-video port, is there any way to use the external monitor port to connect it to a television screen and use it as a display?

Unless you have a TV with the VGA in then probably not, but I have heard of VGA > Svideo

I've tryed today with a VGA -> SCART cable. It's not working. My Vaio does not detect any output so no monitor. When I choose to have dual display I hear some sounds from the TV set some short beeps but nothig on the screen.
