Change colour of desktop symbol text

Hi all,

does anybody know how i can change the text colour of my desktop symbols?
In the Start -> Control Panel -> Display Settings i can change the size and text style of my desktop symbols, but changing the text colour is not possible 😞

Would be glad if someone could tell me !
Thanks!

Unless you use an external program you can't do this without changing the drop shadow option:

1. Right click My Computer then select Properties
2. Select the Advanced tab
3. Click the Performance button
4. Uncheck the 'Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop' box
5. Then click Apply, OK, OK
6. Right click anywhere on the destop, select properties
7. Choose the Desktop tab
8. In the lower right hand corner choose the colour that you would like
9. Apply, then click OK
