Hi magen1.

As it is intermittent it would seem to point to the LCD circuitry but it could be a software problem.

Have you reset the BIOS to default values and looked for any video driver updates?

What model Vaio do you have? If it is a notebook, have you tried an external monitor?

Hi Blencogo,

no , I have not never tried to update BIOS.
Ive tried to update Video Card driver whit the "omega driver" (perfect update, but too hot in little time.....therefore I have replaced the old ones) but 7 mounth ago not now.

Ive a "Sony Vaio PCG-K115M" with Ati Mobility Radeon 9200.

what can i do?

no i dont have tried with external monitor...but i can try with my Philips LCD!

Hi magen1.

Try resetting the BIOS and then uninstall your card in Device Manager and reboot your Vaio.

1. Start or restart your VAIO.
2. When you see the Vaio logo, press F2 repeatedly to enter the BIOS.
5. When in the BIOS screen - Press F9 to restore the default values
6. When asked to confirm, press ENTER.
7. Press F10 to save the configuration and exit the BIOS.
8. When asked to confirm, press ENTER again.
9. The VAIO restarts

In Device Manager, right-click on your graphics card and select Uninstall.
Reboot your Vaio to reload the drivers.

It is worth checking what you get with an external screen but if all else fails you need to contact Vaio-Link for the way forward. They will almost certainly ask you to do a full restore of drive C:\ (they always do).

Although it can't do any harm, if it's OK now I'd leave it alone.

Sony do not make Vaio monitors but the SONY DISPLAYS are available with the same X-Black screen technology.
