My CD/DVD drive has gone haywire. All of a sudden, it won't recognise any cd or dvd i put in, if it is a cd that usualy runs automaticaly, xp will bring up a list of programs to open it up with as it has mixed content. I can look at the folders on the disc, but not run it. I have tried looking at what program is assigned to what but it still does nothing. For example, i opened media player, and it didn't even regognise i had a disc in the drive.
If this is any help, before all this happened, i put in a dvd that was faulty and would not play, don't know if that had anything to do with it, don't see how putting in an incompatible disc in would screw with the drive this much.
