erasing a cd-rw

running xp on my vaio laptop k315z.
Have files burn from laptop to a cd-rw. Now want to erase the disk and re-use. On my desktop PC I get the writing taks message and option to erase cd. On the Vaio however ther is no option to erase cd-rw.
Vaio and desktop are both running XP home but the Vaio came pre-loaded with SP2.
Any ideas on how to erase cd-rw on Vaio much appreciated.

I suggest using a decent burning application like Deepburner, it's free and it does the job well.

Try putting the CD in the drive then opening My Computer. If you then Right Click on the CD drive it should give you the option to erase the CD.
