every time i boot it says "insert application disk", i dont know where my disk is, and i dont want to install the vaio applications anyway. How can i stop it saying this message?

This is annoying, but you are going to have to insert the VAIO applications disk, because otherwise this message will plague you on every boot.

You will then have to manually uninstall the junk thereafter,

I dont have a clue where the disk is, can i download from the site somewhere???

If you have a HDBP you can make a new one from Start > VAIO Recovery Wizard

to solve the problem, run msconfig and uncheck the command that run this process.
