Hard Disk Failure

my FSXCGN-FS115E is only 18 months old but last week i got this warning. 'SMART Failure predicted on Hard disk 0 Hitachi.............. ' and followed by warning to back up which I did.
I have had memory problems which I resolved by transfering a lot of my programmes to the D Drive which created a lot of memory space but i still get this warning when I try to resart. Any suggestions. Terry

The smart error isn't related to the amount of space you have on the drive. It is a warning that the actual device could fail. Drives C & D on your computer are actually physically the same drive so you should make sure you backup any important data to an external device or media in case the worst happens.

The only practical ways to stop the smart error appearing are
a) turn offf smart monitoring in the bios (this won't correct the error - just suppress it)..
b) replace the hard disk drive.
