I recently bought a vaio SZ1 after having problems with a an S5 model. The matshita UJ-832D drive on both these models dont seem to be able to write on DVD+R Dual Layer disks. This problem was first spotted when i tried to create recovery disks using Dual Layer disks. I've tried using Ri-DIsks, TDK and Philips +R Dual Layer and it either doesn't read at all or a couple of times it would write to about 20% and give an error message. Also tried writing data. Sony support actually picked up thye original S5 stating that the drive was faulty and it went and came back with the same drive and the same problem. I was just wondering if anyone had tried creating Dual Layer disk and if this has being successfull.
