'nice little' touchpad feature

How do I switch off this annoying feature on the touchpad (VAIO PCG-7L1M) that means whenever I'm writing an email and accidentally touch the pad it flicks back to the last page on my browser, thus losing EVERYTHING I've just written? I've been told it's advertised as a 'nice little feature' on the VAIO's touchpad. I hate it and don't know how to switch it off.

Hi cortinacortez and welcome to Club Vaio.

Try this: -

Right click the touchpad icon in the system tray.
Click the Function tab.
Disable the 'Web Assistant' then click apply.
