Noetbook won’t boot with iPod nano connected

As long as my (new) iPod nano is connected via its USB port my Vaio will not boot properly (freezes after showing logo). Everything works fine as long as I connect the iPod *after* booting the notebook. Any ideas what might be causing that problem?

If this is not the right forum, I am sorry.

Hi ACat, this is because your laptop is trying to boot from the iPod. The solution (other than plugging out your iPod) is to take a look at your BIOS to see if there's a boot drive order. If so, then you'll see that something like "USB HDD" or "USB Device" is set to boot BEFORE your hard disk. You can either change the order, or disable this function.

Hope that all makes sense.

Thank you. Did not think about that. Will check.
