PCG-FR105 - Minor screen problem

Hi.

I have had my Sony Vaio laptop for about just over a year now and am still loving it.

However the screen has started to emit a very faint and dim flicker. I was wondering if it perhaps is where the plug which connects the screen to the motherboard has come loose?

I noticed that there are screws behind the rubber pads in each corner of the TFT. If I were to unscrew these, would I be able to make sure the connection is firmly in place, or is the plug somewhere else in the laptop?

If it is, i'd rather not have to hack it around too much!

Removing those screws will allow you to dismantle the display and check the connections. There are usually clips all the way round the edge of the bezel and you will also need to carefully lever them loose.
