Can anyone tell me is the bios upgrade needed when installing xp on this machine as it mentions this on the below page.

I've installed xp as a test run and it seems to be working ok although i'm unsure whether to install xp with sp2 or stick with the non sp2 version since it's an old model.
Also can anyone advise me which new model hard drive this laptop will take as the installed drive has a whistle I would like to do away with.
