Grateful for some ideas to try here. I have an 18 month old k315z which works great . . . apart from once every week or so the display goes black apart from two 1" horizontal bands of flickering images. These images are composed of what was on the display before it malfunctioned, but not readable.
I am usually just editing a spreadsheet or web browsing when this happens, so no great demands being put on the machine.
I have upgraded to the latest bios in case it was a motherboard / graphics card issue but to no avail.
On the basis it is a heat issue I am now running at a lower than max lcd brightness and it's been ok for two weeks so far.
Has anyone seen anything similar or can offer advice.
