solution!

No, the K series laptops state MAX 128MB VRAM, it is user definable. Because it is shared it is removed from your system memory. If you tap F2 after the startup animation, then enter the BIOS, there is a setting to set the VRAM as 32MB, 64MB, or 128MB. I set mine to 32MB as I dont play games on my laptop, and therefore I can use the extra memory for Apps. Hope that helps

I have been trying to do this but I just cannot access the BIOS at start up, no key seems to work for me, none of the F keys, escape, delete, nothing makes the BIOS appear, anyone know how to do it on a PCG-K115B?

Ooooh I have that (check my signature:smileylaugh: ).

Here is what you do.

1. Restart
2. After the animated VAIO Logo appears, repeatedly tap F2
3. Under UMA Video Memory select 32/64/128MB with the + and - keys.
4. Press F10 to save and confirm you wish to exit.
5. Job done!:smileywink:

Sony left a setting in the BIOS :smileyshocked:.

Must have been an accident.

Yep, the stated solution works for all K-series laptops as they use the same mobo/bios
