There is a setting in the windows charms setting to turn auto rotate on, mine was also turned off by default. Doing it from memory I believe you ensure you are on your desktop with no open programs and hover over to the right so the charms appear, click the settings charm and near the WiFi symbol, vol symbol etc there should be a brightness option, click this and there will be a small screen with a padlock, click that and you should be able to turn auto rotate on And off.

I have exactly the same problem - tablet goes to sleep in tablet mode and the autorotate doesn't work.  The autorotate option in charms is greyed out.  Did you find a solution to your problem? I haven't yet figured out a solution and it's really annoying.

What about this?, Have you any solution for that?. I have the same problem, can you help me, please?

I've been tested about and i think that the intel hd graphics can be the problem. I'm trying reinstall from intel site but that drivers can not be installed. The reason is take error when you install cause it isn't Sony approved.

I don`t know to do....

Thx in advance.

Before buying a SONY product please be aware that the warranty does not cover manufacturing defects i.e. if the product is damaged due to a design or manufacturing fault then the warranty is INVALID

I have just had this quoted to me by Mr. Anderson in the "Customer Relations" team and when asked to speak to a his manager he advised that he is the manager and would not be able to put me through to anyone else to assist - So you also have to be Very aware of the limited escalation process they have available and the get out of jail quotes they like to utilise.

Was offered a bone but decided against taking it as all I wanted was a unit that worked.

Happened to me as well with my Vaio fit 13. As I flip the screen, it turned in the sleep mode. I tried all solutions above, in settings, but didn't work. Anyone find the solution for the flip screen Vaio

Hi,

I now have exactly the same problem as the last two posters above. I've been running Windows 10 for over a year without any issues, but now I can't use it as a tablet at all because the screen doesn't rotate properly and turns off when flipped. It's infuriating. Does anybody have a solution? When I called customer services they were no help at all!!
