Hello! I bought a VAIO VPCEH1E1E a year ago and had no problems until last month when the left speaker stopped working. I tested the speaker via Speaker Setup from the Control Panel and it certainly does not work. I am thinking I should call support already but are there any other things I could do to fix it without having to give it to be repaired? Also I am not sure how long is the guarantee here in Bulgaria...

One speaker not working is almost certainly a hardware problem and if the machine is in warranty you should contact Support.
You could try to narrow down the problem by attaching either external speakers or headphones as this will give Support an indication of whether the problem is with the speaker itself or the motherboard.
