You must install the driver before you insert the PCMCIA card.

1. install the driver
2. shutdown your VAIO
3. insert the PCMCIA card
4. start the system

Windows should install your card now.

J'ai pas le series V, mais je demand en anglais pour toi.

Does anyone have the V2M?
Can you tell me what your PCMCIA card is recognised as? Is it a Texas Instruments card?

TIA

I don't know whether it helps. It isn't a V-series VAIO.

My D-Link WLAN card is recognised as network card. Which should be normal. Because the PCMCIA slot is not more than a mini PCI slot.

Here are a part oft the properties of the PCMCIA slot.

Important is the 1. Which shows that a device is connected. Is there a 0 then the slot is empty or the device is not recognised.

Danish (from Denmark),
English, still learning
Swedish and Norwegian, understand and they understand us therefore can just manage.
German, learned it for 3 Jahre in Denmark (the most difficult grammar ever came across)
Japanese (can only read and only from Sony website, if they don't change a lot)
