Vaio VGN-FZ11M loud fan noise

Hi,

I got my 11M a couple of weeks ago and I enjoy it very much. I've got one problem though: Is it normal for the FZ series that the fan is on all the time? Even when I'm writing in word or let my notebook idle, the fan is running and noticeably loud, especially in quiet rooms.

My NR21Z is the same, the fan is on all the time. Most of the time it is blowing out really cool air too, so it obviously doesn't need to be on so much. It would be nice to be able to change the settings, what temp kicks the fan off etc. Changing power profiles does nothing whatsoever on my machine. It's very frustrating because I use my laptop in a quiet room 100% of the time.
