VAIO VGNFS415E RUNNING VERY SLOWLY AND CRASHES!!!!

HI
THIS LAPTOP IS ONLY JUST OVER A MONTH OLD. IT CAN HARDLY RUN MICROSOFT OFFICE OUTLOOK. IT FREEZES OR CRASHES. IT IS VERY SLOW IN GENERAL RUNNING AND OPENING APPLICATIONS! I WAS NOT EXPECTING THIS AS MY OLD DESKTOP PC IS 6 YEARS OLDER AND RUNS FASTER AND BETTER ALL ROUND. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS IS BECAUSE IT IS SUCH A BASIC MODEL??? OR IS IT A FAULT? I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO START. HELP!
P.S WOULD UPGRADING THE RAM BY ANOTHER 512MB MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE? DOES IT HAVE TO BE SONY RAM?

Probably best you run a full virus scan, use spyware removal tools like Spybot, Adaware and clean up the registry with Tune Up

I now need help with file sharing on wireless network?
I have a wireless router setup and working. I want to share files between Desktop and Laptop wirelessly. Run the setup wizard on both machine, but refuse me to logon to the new workgroup on both machines???? HELP

same prob here, i gave uo and now i use msn between them. ethernet cable can also be used i think, but i broke it on my desktop, so there you go.
