VGN-BX297XP Recovery Process fails

Hi,

I have tried to recover my VAIO several times now from the recovery media and from the HDD using F10. The problem is that once it gets passed the bit 'Recovery process loading, powered by windows...' The blue screen appears, then it appears to resize the screen, then it just reboots.

I have reset the BIOS etc...

Any ideas?

Hi,

It is not a BSOD I see, It is just a blue screen, same colour blue as on windows installation, the GUI part.

It has nothing on the screen though, no images or text. Mouse loads and I can move it. But after a minute or so it just reboots.

Have you tried the advanced recovery?

I do not think I have. I have tried recovering using the recovery DVDs and pressing F10 at startup.

What is the advanced recovery?

Any suggestions?
