Has anyone any information about what we can expect from Sony in the future? Will they ever give us new drivers?

I know that the ATI 9700 and the WiFi 2200BG drivers that are on the support site are both out of date and have serious issues. How can we petition Sony to do something about it?

Is there an alternative source for these (and other) drivers?

Hi Ian,

I don't have a crystal ball,. but the way Sony have been about new drivers has been really bad, so if you can use the Omega drivers (at your own risk) then you don't really need to worry about Sont's own.

This is bad practice by Sony though, really they should keep with the times!

There are other alternatives, go back a few pages in the notebooks section for a thread Woody started about graphics drivers. Sony's attitude in this area is as poor as it can possibly be, and I personally don't expect it to change one iota. However, having already bought a computer before you find this out, it wouldn't matter to them as it is I suspect.

I agree with TT, it's been poor, just like the speed of the development of the search function.....
